The quality of the materials and construction of the desk is good. My only disappointment - I was expecting a stain color that was more like a Honey Pine(naturally aged pine). You might just augment the web page color selection by saying that it has a slightly orange hue and is not a true honey pine/natural pine color ("Antique Pine" is not an adequate description of the color). A good honey pine gel stain works great. I will refinish the desk to match the rest of the furniture in the room.

I searched for a desk for 2 years. When I saw this one online i loved it but was afraid to order something I could not examine. I was so pleased, the desk is beautiful. It was packaged so well that nothing could have damaged it. I will not hesitate to order anything from you again. I have my eye on 2 chairs but am hoping they go on sale soon. Thank you again.

The desk arrived ahead of schedule, in great shape, and assembled easily. It looks great - love the buttermilk finish and the espresso top, and I'm very pleased with the English country legs. It's a keeper! My only issue, and it's a small one: the drawer does not come in & out smoothly (there is no metal hardware involved - it's just a wooden drawer sliding in and out along a wooden support rail). One unexpected item: the drawer has one huge metal handle/knob instead of two small ones as pictured on the website. I don't mind the different handle, but I do wish the drawer operated a bit more smoothly.

My Husband and I searched for a desk for our daughter for several months. Scouring the internet and local furniture stores. Although our daughter is 9 we were looking for something that she could grow with and that would stand the test of time so that we could continue to use it and pass it on. After being disappointed time and time again by poor quality furniture made in other countries we turned back to American Home store where we have purchased furniture in the past. Once again we are not disappointed. The quality is excellent as is the craftsmanship. We love the solid pine and the fact that our daughter could choose the color and handles she desired. She LOVES her new desk as well. Although the price seems high we feel that the careful packaging, delivery, quality, appearance and the fact that it's made in America makes it worth the cost.
