This Laptop Desk is the solution. It has a hinged lid to store your laptop inside or anything else you might need. Inside the lid is a hole in the back for the power cord and plenty of room for your laptop, mouse, and other accessories. On each side the lid frame are grooves to allow the power cord and any other cords to travel through grooves with the lid closed, without pinching the wires.
