The cabinet looks beautiful and is solid. The service department was immediately responsive when I called them because a screw-knob had fallen off and lost in shipment. I received the replacement in 2 days. Downsides: 1] Warning: the smell of varnish (or maybe it is new pine?) is strong for the first week or so. 2]the "pock-marks" intended to make it look old can look like someone was jabbing a pencil into the wood. I think it is a cheeky way to make things look antique, and not very effective. 3] they didn't prime the shelving before painting--which was part of the antique look i suppose--so the knots showed through the paint in an unflattering way I thought. I repainted one of the boards. 4) a 5th shelf would be nice. Despite these negatives, I love our piece--we have it in the kitchen to hold our dishware and glassware.
